About The Role

Rondo is accelerating industry’s transition to lower-cost, zero-carbon heat and power.
Our Rondo Heat Batteries turn low-cost renewable electricity into continuous, high-temperature heat and power, enabling industrial facilities to replace fossil-fired boilers without costly process changes. The result is lower-cost, zero-carbon industrial energy delivered safely, reliably, and at 98% efficiency.
Rondo is commercially deployed and rapidly scaling, today. Backed by world-class industrial leaders and investors — including Breakthrough Energy, Energy Impact Partners, Rio Tinto, Aramco, SABIC, SCG, TITAN, Microsoft, H&M, and John Doerr — Rondo is building the next generation of industrial energy infrastructure at global scale.
We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to run the day-to-day engine of our global People function. You will own international employee lifecycle operations, global mobility, and our platform for EOR employees and contractors. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves getting the details right. This role will have a huge impact on both Rondo's overall operations & the employee experience!

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):
People Operations

Own end-to-end employee lifecycle operations (onboarding, job changes, leaves, offboarding) for U.S. and international employees.

Maintain accurate HRIS data and produce headcount, turnover and compliance reports for the People team and Finance.

Draft, update and roll out People policies.

Coordinate benefits enrollment, renewals and employee questions with brokers and vendors.

Partner with Finance on payroll inputs, equity administration handoffs and audit requests.

Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, escalating employee-relations matters appropriately.

Global mobility and immigration

Support the People team in managing the visa and immigration case portfolio (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, green cards and non-U.S. work permits), working alongside external immigration counsel.

Track deadlines, renewals and I-9 / right-to-work compliance across all countries where we employ people.

Coordinate international assignments, relocations and business-travel compliance, including tax and social-security considerations.

Help build repeatable processes, templates and guides so employees and managers know what to expect.

Global employment

Manage relationships with international offices and service providers, including employers of record (EORs), to coordinate onboarding, contracts, amendments, terminations, and payments for employees and international contractors.

Run monthly payroll and contractor-payment cycles in partnership with Finance where the function is not fully assumed in country.

Support entity setups and provider-to-entity transitions as Rondo expands into new countries.

Keep providers and our core HRIS in sync, and look for automation and AI-enabled improvements.

What you will bring

5–8 years of People Operations or HR generalist experience, including at least 2 years supporting employees outside the U.S.

Hands-on experience administering EOR employees and contractors, including onboarding, contracts and payment cycles.

Direct experience managing U.S. immigration cases with outside counsel, and familiarity with work permits in other countries.

Working knowledge of U.S. employment compliance (I-9, FLSA, leave laws) and how requirements differ internationally.

Strong HRIS skills and comfort with data: building reports, auditing records and spotting errors before they become problems.

Sound judgment and discretion with confidential employee information.

Clear written and verbal communication with employees, managers, vendors and counsel across time zones.

Comfort working independently in a lean, fast-moving team where you build processes as you go.

Bonus points

Experience in a high-growth energy, climate-tech, industrial, manufacturing or hardware company.

Supported hiring in Europe, the Middle East or Australia, including EOR-to-entity transitions.

Experience implementing or scaling an HRIS across multiple countries.

SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD or a global mobility certification (e.g., GMS).
