The DC Security Specialist I is responsible for physical security routines for a data centre on an assigned shift, delivering DC security programme components in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs), with ongoing guidance.Key job responsibilitiesParticipate in site inspections to ensure security posture and compliance meet standardsMaintain safety, cleanliness, and organisation of assigned areas, assets, and devicesUse standard tools for effort and data capture, adhering to regulatory compliance and confidentiality processesActively participate in required internal training and seek knowledge from peersContribute ideas for process improvement and assist with cross-team training and new-hire onboardingA day in the lifeHandle routine operational security escalations per SOPsReview, evaluate, and triage well-defined ticketsOversee individual security vendor deliverables (CGF, SLAs, camera and alarm systems, etc.) and track service deliveryRequest corrective actions from vendors as neededTest technical resources (cameras, access control systems) based on established checklistsRequest and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with guidanceAbout the teamThe Data Centre Security Management team is a highly motivated team driven to set the highest standard of security posture for Amazon Web Services buildings and people.
