Manager of Software Engineering

In this leadership role, you will oversee and manage a highly efficient engineering team, drive technical excellence and delivery, provide technical leadership and oversight, analyze metrics for continuous improvement, and promote transparency and communication. You will also collaborate across teams and take ownership of the software your team builds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with scalable front-end and back-end applications, experience in engineering leadership roles, and a deep understanding of software development methodologies.

• Lead and manage a highly efficient engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and delivery of high-impact results.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to define, develop, and implement best practices, ensuring efficient processes for delivery, architecture, and team operations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, using quality metrics and development analytics to evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Hands-on experience with scalable front-end and back-end applications
• Experience in engineering leadership roles across multiple teams, including hiring, mentoring, and team development

• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience using javascript frameworks and Java within a AWS serverless environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline OR equivalent work experience
• Experience collaborating across time zones and geographies, with a flexible and adaptable working style
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working with globally distributed engineering and product teams
• Strong hands-on engineering skills with a solid understanding of modern software development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
• Experience in a similar role in a high-tech environment
• A strong track record of coaching and mentoring both individual contributors and peers
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to effectively prioritize and deliver on multiple initiatives
