Software Engineering Internship (January 2027)

Join Kepler Communications as a Software Engineering Intern in January 2027. You will assist in developing and maintaining high-performance backend services and infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable applications that support satellite development, testing, and operation. This is a full-time internship with unlimited vacation, comprehensive health coverage, stock options, and flexible work options.

• Assister dans le développement et la maintenance de services backend performants et d'infrastructure.
• Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles pour construire des applications évolutives qui soutiennent le développement, les tests et l'exploitation des satellites.
• Participer à la conception et au développement de logiciels fiables et de haute qualité liés à l'exploitation de l'infrastructure du réseau satellite de Kepler.

• Prior experience supporting software development and test writing
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to studies after the internship
• Opportunity to work out of our new Toronto office! This position can be based onsite at our Toronto office (24 Ward Street), or hybrid
• Prior internship experience using Python to develop back end services
• Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Available for a full-time internship beginning Jan 2027 for 4-16 months
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to leverage AI-assisted engineering and development tools to improve productivity, design quality, and innovation while adapting to evolving technologies and best practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively use git
• Familiarity in SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data design (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerized software (Kubernetes, K8s) and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
