Senior Engineering Manager (Release Engineering)

Join PagerDuty as a Senior Engineering Manager in Release Engineering. You will lead a team of experienced platform engineers and set the delivery direction for all of PagerDuty Engineering. Your responsibilities will include setting the multi-year roadmap for software development, leading the GitOps transformation, and owning delivery metrics. You will also have the opportunity to hire, coach, and grow senior engineers.

• Set the multi-year roadmap for how PagerDuty builds, tests and deploys software, and lead the GitOps transformation.
• Lead a team of experienced platform engineers and set the delivery direction for all of PagerDuty Engineering, partnering closely with the AI-native development program.
• Own our delivery metrics, including Change Failure Rate, and report them to engineering leadership monthly, pairing every speed metric with a quality measure.

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD systems and infrastructure as code
• Proven experience leading a GitOps or deployment platform migration across many teams and clusters
• The ability to explain technical tradeoffs to executives in plain language
• Hands-on use of AI coding agents, with experience changing a pipeline or process because of their impact on delivery speed and stability
• A track record of taking a CI/CD platform from selection to full adoption across an engineering organization
• 10+ years in platform engineering, SRE or DevOps, including at least 5 years managing engineers
