Senior Analyst (BI Developer)

What You Will Do

At Rakbank, data drives decision-making. As a Senior Analyst – Descriptive Analytics, you will play a key role in transforming complex business data into actionable insights through intuitive dashboards, automated reporting, and advanced analytics. You will work closely with stakeholders across the bank to deliver meaningful performance reporting that supports strategic and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reports.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful visualizations and performance metrics.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources using SQL, Power Query, and data models.
• Develop and optimize DAX calculations, measures, and reporting models to ensure efficient and accurate insights.
• Automate recurring MIS and management reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Perform trend, variance, performance, and drill-down analysis to identify opportunities and business insights.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data refresh schedules, and data quality while resolving reporting issues proactively.
• Maintain documentation of dashboards, KPIs, business definitions, calculations, and data sources.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and confidentiality standards, particularly for customer and banking data.
• Support reporting requirements related to regulatory, financial, and management reporting needs.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales analytics, performance reporting, and/or sales incentive analytics.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data visualization.
• Experience working with Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, dashboard automation, and reporting optimization.
• Knowledge of retail banking products, business banking products, banking processes, and sales KPIs.
• Exposure to Python and other analytical tools will be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality outcomes.
