Senior Manager of Product Design

Join Clio, a leading legal tech company, as a Senior Manager of Product Design. In this role, you will lead the design strategy and execution for our Fintech team, focusing on payments, billing, invoicing, and timekeeping. You will manage a team of 4-5 product designers, partner closely with Product and Engineering, and drive the design vision for our financial workflows. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the legal industry and help lawyers serve their clients more effectively.

• Lead the design team in shaping the product design strategy and execution for payments, billing, invoicing, and timekeeping.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to set vision, drive alignment, and raise the quality bar through coaching and critique.
• Define and drive the design vision for the fintech portfolio, helping customers get paid faster and shaping how the portfolio expands.

• Fluency with modern design, prototyping, and AI tools (e.g., Claude, Figma, Cursor) and experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience designing for complex B2B products, ideally serving small to mid-market customers
• Strong UX craft and bar-raising execution, including the ability to lead vision work, solve complex interaction problems, and model high-quality design
• Strong understanding of AI product design, including guiding teams in human-in-the-loop AI experiences that are safe, trustworthy, and transparent
• Experience designing fintech products, such as payments, billing, or invoicing, with a strong understanding of how money moves for businesses
• 10+ years of Product Design experience, including 3+ years managing and developing other designers
• Systems thinking and a platform mindset, able to drive scalable experiences across customer segments and interconnected products
