UK Entity Controller

Join LemFi as the UK Entity Controller, where you will take ownership of the financial performance of our largest and most regulated group of entities. You will lead a small team, ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, and build scalable credit accounting for our consumer credit business. This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong background in lending or consumer credit accounting.

• Own the UK close, delivering accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for every UK entity.
• Prepare and file FRS 102 statutory accounts on time, acting as the auditors' first point of contact for the UK.
• Build and own credit accounting for the consumer credit business, ensuring documentation, auditability, and scalability.

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with 10 or more years of post-qualification experience, including a meaningful stint as an entity or financial controller
• Hands-on experience in lending or consumer credit accounting, including IFRS 9 ECL modelling and loan book accounting
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small accounting team, with a hands-on, low-ego approach - happy to review and to roll up your sleeves
• Experience working inside an FCA-regulated firm such as an EMI, payment institution, bank or lender
• Strong FRS 102 and IFRS technical knowledge with a track record of clean statutory audits and the ability to assess and document the accounting treatment of new products
• Comfort with high transaction volumes, multiple currencies and payment processor data; experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP
• Big 4 or similar audit background
• Fintech, cross-border payments or remittance experience, ideally with working knowledge of safeguarding under the Electronic Money and Payment Services Regulations
• Experience in a multi-entity group with a US parent and US GAAP consolidation requirements
