Engineering Manager (Billing & Monetization)

Join DataSnipper as an Engineering Manager for Billing & Monetization. In this role, you will lead a high-performing engineering team, own the technical direction of the customer lifecycle platform, and partner with various departments to shape pricing and licensing models. You will also focus on improving the onboarding experience and the admin experience for internal users. The ideal candidate has a strategic mindset, experience leading engineering teams, and a strong background in software architecture and cloud-native development.

• 3+ years leading engineering teams, on top of 5+ years as a software engineer
• An empowerment style of leadership and a track record of building high-performing teams
• Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools and agentic harnesses, and a team that is measurably better for using them
• Strong fundamentals in software architecture, distributed systems, APIs and cloud-native development
• Strong product aptitude: you challenge framing, make roadmap trade-offs, and care about activation and conversion as much as uptime
• Experience building billing, licensing, entitlement or onboarding systems at scale, ideally usage- or credit-based
• Experience running production systems where financial correctness matters
• Usage-, metered- or credit-based billing in production, including AI token metering and cost attribution
• Billing and payment platforms (e.g. Stripe), CRM and ERP integrations
• Identity and provisioning: SSO, SCIM, multi-tenant account models
• Product-led growth: self-serve sign-up, trials, in-product upgrades
• Python, Azure and observability tooling
• Financial correctness: idempotency, reconciliation, auditability, revenue recognition
• Scale-up experience, ideally in fintech or audit tech
