Assistant Financial Accountant

Join the Financial Times, a leading global news organization, as an Assistant Financial Accountant. In this role, you will support a wide range of accounting, supplier management, statutory compliance, audit, and fixed asset activities. You will work closely with the Financial Accountant and the wider Finance team to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with Philippine regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CPA with audit and accounting experience to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, compliance, and reporting within a fast-paced, international organization.

• Verifying vendor onboarding requirements, preparing purchase requisition and purchase order requests, and reviewing quotations and supplier invoices.
• Preparing routine journal entry templates, preparing assigned balance sheet reconciliation schedules, and assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Preparing supporting schedules and documentation required for BIR, PEZA, and other applicable government and regulatory submissions, and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR tax returns.
