Senior Consultant / Manager - Payments Operations (Banking, PI & EMI)

Join Deloitte's Banking Consulting department as a Senior Consultant or Manager in Payments Operations. You will play a key role in helping banks, Payment Institutions, and E-Money Institutions design, run, and improve their payments operations. Your responsibilities will include assessing and redesigning payments operating models, leading operational readiness for regulatory changes, optimizing back-office processes, and managing client relationships. You should have 4-6 years of experience in payments operations, a good understanding of the regulatory framework, and strong analytical and communication skills.

• Assess and redesign payments operating models, lead or contribute to operational readiness for regulatory change.
• Review and optimise payments back-office processes, design and strengthen the operational control framework.
• Manage engagements and client relationships, contribute to business development, and coach and develop junior team members.

Profile description:

**Your skills**

• 4-6 years of experience, in payments operations within a bank, a PI/EMI, a payment service provider or a consulting firm
• Knowledge of payments operations: SEPA SCT/SDD, SCT Inst, cross-border payments, cards, e-money issuance and wallets
• Good understanding of the regulatory framework: PSD2 and PSD3/PSR, EMD2, Instant Payments Regulation, AMLD, DORA, as well as the CSSF framework applicable to PIs and EMIs
• Hands-on experience in process redesign, operating model definition, controls and outsourcing
• Familiarity with market infrastructures and schemes (TARGET2/T2, STEP2, SWIFT, EPC rulebooks) is a strong asset
• Business-oriented profile: this role focuses on operations and processes, not on IT development or system implementation
• Strong analytical, structuring and communication skills
• Fluent in English and French
