Overhead Crane Mechanic

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure cranes operate safely and efficiently. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults. Inspect crane components including brakes, motors, gearboxes, ropes, hooks, wheels, bearings, and limit switches. Perform repairs and replacement of worn or damaged crane parts. Carry out regular lubrication and servicing of moving components. Test crane operations after maintenance or repairs to ensure proper functionality. Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Ensure cranes comply with workplace safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and replaced parts. Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime. Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of overhead crane systems. Work closely with operators and other maintenance personnel to identify equipment issues.
