IIoT & Automation Integration Engineer (Contract)

IIoT & Automation Integration Engineer (Contract) Design and install the physical data layer that makes legacy machinery self-reporting. What you'll do Assess client equipment and design sensor, PLC and edge architectures for retrofit Wire and integrate PLC/SCADA systems and deploy edge computing gateways Install and commission vibration, thermal, acoustic and power sensors on legacy machines Configure data protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET) from device to edge to cloud Produce as-built drawings, I/O lists and commissioning reports Requirements 5+ years in industrial automation or controls integration Hands-on with Rockwell, Siemens or similar PLC/SCADA platforms Experience retrofitting brownfield equipment with IIoT sensors and edge devices Comfortable working on live production floors Nice to have: Ignition, AWS IoT/Azure IoT, ISA-95 knowledge, electrical licensure, CSIA-certified integrator background.
