Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated RN Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit while ensuring exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.

Position Summary

The RN Unit Manager is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating resident care, maintaining clinical documentation, and promoting a positive environment for residents, families, and team members. This role combines hands-on nursing care with leadership responsibilities to support quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned nursing unit.
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
Conduct resident assessments and care plan reviews.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Investigate and address resident concerns and clinical issues promptly.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
Support infection prevention and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
