About The Role
Schedule: All shifts are 8 hours, with a two-week rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist residents with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort, and safety while promoting dignity, independence, and resident satisfaction. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to support resident comfort and well-being.
- Take and record vital signs, weights, and dietary intake as assigned.
- Assist residents with feeding, transfers, and mobility using wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment as appropriate.
- Assist with meal delivery, serving residents, distributing ice, water, and nourishment, and maintaining clean dining and resident areas.
- Provide activities and restorative care as directed.
- Clean and store equipment appropriately.
- Keep the Charge Nurse informed of resident and employee concerns.
- Provide resident-centered care that promotes dignity, respect, and individual needs.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, thoroughly, and on time.
- Follow applicable regulatory requirements, safety standards, and Covenant Woods policies.
- Respond to residents, team members, and visitors in a calm, courteous, and cooperative manner.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Complete required annual in-services and attend scheduled training sessions and staff meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and resident satisfaction.
Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensed in the State of Virginia.
- Current basic CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Preferred
- Minimum of six (6) months experience as a CNA.
- Experience in a Continuing Care and Retirement Community (CCRC) or Healthcare setting is highly desirable.
