The starting annual salary for a Clinical Center Associate Trainee is $39,956 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
The starting annual salary for a Clinical Center Associate I is $44,560 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You'll Do:
As a Clinical Center Associate, you will help create a welcoming and efficient experience for patients and visitors by:
Greeting patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion
Answering phone calls and responding to routine questions
Assisting with appointment scheduling and maintaining clinic calendars
Supporting patient registration and visit preparation activities
Collecting and processing patient co-payments when applicable
Recording and transcribing physician orders as needed
Maintaining accurate patient and clinic records
Coordinating administrative activities that support daily clinic operations
Working closely with nurses, physicians, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
Protecting patient privacy and handling confidential information appropriately
Candidates hired into the trainee level will receive on-the-job training and support to develop the skills needed to grow into the full Clinical Center Associate role.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience for Clinical Center Associate Trainee:
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service.
OR
Required Education and Experience for Clinical Center Associate I:
- Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree; or
- Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
