Job Description:
The Merchant Field Sales Manager leads the field sales team responsible for acquiring, developing, and retaining large and strategic merchants within the Pluxee network. The role manages Hunters, Farmers, and Funters across both Large and Strategic Account segments, ensuring comprehensive commercial coverage, performance discipline, and strong ecosystem contribution. Operating in a B2B2C context, the Field Sales Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a robust acceptance network that enhances consumer benefit usage, supports national growth objectives, and reflects Pluxee’s digital-first, employee-centric strategy.YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Responsibilities:

  1. Commercial Strategy and Execution

Translate national merchant strategy into field sales execution plans tailored to large and strategic accounts
Define sales targets, coverage models, and territory plans across Hunter, Farmer, and Funter profiles
Ensure balanced commercial focus between new acquisition, retention, and development of key accounts
Monitor pipeline health, performance indicators, and field execution quality using Salesforce CRM
Support strategic segmentation, pricing inputs, and tender documentation when relevant

  1. Team Leadership and Performance Management

Lead and coach a team of Field Sales Executives segmented by account type (Large, Strategic) and role (Hunter, Farmer, Funter)
Set performance goals and implement regular tracking, feedback, and coaching rhythms
Drive a culture of commercial accountability, value selling, and customer-centric behavior
Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and continuous upskilling of field sales talent
Conduct joint visits and field coaching to support deal progression and relationship building

  1. Ecosystem Enablement and Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with Merchant Marketing to deliver co-branded campaigns and visibility programs
Collaborate with Legal, Onboarding, and Product teams to ensure contract feasibility and merchant success
Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve the merchant journey and ecosystem design

  1. Represent field sales insights in national commercial planning and go-to-market governance
  2. Sales Operations and Governance

Ensure disciplined use of Salesforce CRM for all pipeline, performance, and reporting activities
Lead weekly performance reviews, forecasting sessions, and territory alignment reviews
Support budget and resource planning for field sales activities, campaigns, and enablement tools
Ensure compliance with legal, fiscal, and operational standards in all merchant-facing interactions
YOU ARE A MATCH IF...
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related discipline
Work Experience:
7+ years of experience in commercial or partnership management roles
3+ years of experience in leading B2B field sales teams, preferably across segmented account structures
Prior experience in merchant ecosystems, payments, SaaS, or digital platforms is highly preferred
Skills & Certifications:
Strong command of Salesforce CRM for sales management and team coaching
Expertise in strategic selling, pipeline management, and executive-level stakeholder engagement
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Languages:
For global, regional, or area roles, fluency in English is required. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or other relevant languages are an advantage.
For local country leadership and management roles, fluency in the local language and English is required.
For local individual contributor roles, fluency in the local language is required. English is considered an advantage as it supports communication, learning, and collaboration in a multinational context.
