Dental Receptionist (Part-Time)

We are excited to be recruiting a Dental Receptionist to join our team at Grays Dental Practice on a part-time basis(Monday-Thursday).
Located in Cambuslang, Glasgow, our practice has kept patients smiling since 1982. It is within walking distance to the high street where a vast array of amenities including cafes & shops can be found. The practice is easily accessible, with the train station located just a 2 minute walk away and regular buses run to the nearby main street. On street parking is also available close to the practice.
You will be joining a bright, friendly and professional practice. We pride ourselves on our supportive culture and the strong feedback we get from our patients.
Your Role
You will be instrumental in providing a professional reception service and ensuring excellent patient care in line with our practice values. Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming patients warmly and helping them feel comfortable and looked after from the moment they arrive

Creating a professional, calm and inviting reception environment

Managing patient enquiries in person, by telephone and through email

Coordinating appointments and maintaining well-organised clinician diaries
-
Managing patient check-in and check-out and ensuring their journey through the practice runs smoothly

Building positive relationships with patients

Processing payments and supporting patients with general queries
-
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
-
Proactively following up with patients where appropriate
-
Taking ownership of patient queries and helping resolve concerns professionally and sensitively

Ensuring the reception and patient areas are beautifully presented and reflect the standards of our private practice

Supporting general administration and the wider day-to-day running of the practice
About You
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and understands the difference that thoughtful, attentive service can make.
We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have previous experience working within a general dental or healthcare practice, although this is desirable rather than essential

Experience in a reception or customer-facing position where delivering a positive patient/customer experience was a key priority

Have a naturally warm, friendly and professional manner

Take pride in delivering exceptional customer service

Are confident communicating with people both face-to-face and over the telephone

Have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

Are comfortable managing several priorities while remaining calm and composed

Enjoy taking ownership and using your initiative

Have a polished and professional approach

Work well as part of a close-knit team

Are confident using IT and administrative systems
