About The Role

JOB SYMMARY:
As a Systems Eng Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding a team of systems engineers in the design, development, and implementation of Fire Alarm, Security access control and other ELV systems. Your leadership will be essential in driving innovation, ensuring project success, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. In this role, you will impact the design and architectural aspects of complex ELV systems, which may involve hardware, software, and network components. You will ensure that the system design aligns with Honeywell's quality standards and industry’s best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing complex engineering challenges and providing solutions that meet or exceed the required technical standards for your customers.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy and Innovation

Define the systems engineering strategy, align it with company goals, and steer the development of innovative, advanced solutions.

  • People Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop systems engineers while building a collaborative, innovative, inclusive, and high-performing team.

  • Assess team performance regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Project Delivery and Risk

Deliver projects within the project management framework, proactively mitigating risks through data-driven decisions.

  • Technical Excellence

Promote best practices in systems engineering and integration while maintaining current product knowledge.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for at least one ELV system.
  • Partner with technical experts and leaders to strengthen engineering capabilities and solutions.
  • Operational Performance

Achieve up to 20,000 billable project hours each year.

  • Maintain compliance with Quality and HSE playbooks.
  • Customer Focus

Review pre-sales estimates to verify that engineering labor addresses contractual and functional requirements.

  • Enhance customer satisfaction while meeting the engineering team's productivity, utilization, OTTR, and quality targets.
  • Use customer feedback to improve key performance indicators, including Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Encourage effective use of engineering tools, workflows, and methods to improve productivity and quality while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.ments

  • Present complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 15 years of experience in the fire, security, ELV, or telecommunications industries.
  • Experience leading a team of 10–20 engineers in delivering project packages covering detailed systems design, hardware, software, graphics, and onsite commissioning.
  • Subject matter expertise in design, engineering, and commission of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.
  • Experience with front-end integrated systems, SCADA, and interfaces across multiple systems.
  • Practical experience with active and passive ICT components.
  • Experience configuring virtual machines and cybersecurity components, such as firewalls and access control lists, is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an advantage.
  • Experience developing pre-sales solutions is an advantage.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

  • Lead the team for an assigned pole or region in delivering multiple engineering projects.
  • Plan project and forecast resource requirements.
  • Build team capabilities by developing the technical expertise of senior and junior engineers.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve processes and standards.
  • Execute engineering projects within the PMI framework and in accordance with established processes.
  • Manage project scope, risks, changes, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, including PSR reporting and escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with QA processes and maintain quality standards.
