About The Role

Provides academic coaching and monitors student progress, supports program development and assessment, collaborates with campus partners to advance retention and success, contributes to outreach and workshops, and leverages institutional systems to track and enhance service effectiveness.
Initial screening will begin Thursday, October 8th, and will occur every Thursday thereafter.

  • Provides academic coaching sessions and monitors progress for students on academic alert, academic notice, or returning from academic deferment. Expands academic coaching services to all undergraduate students and other identified subpopulations as needed.
  • Assists Assistant Director with the development, implementation, and assessment of academic coaching effectiveness, including tracking and reporting on utilization.
  • Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators on individual student issues as well as overall student retention and graduation.
  • Maintain high proficiency in key university systems and platforms including but not limited to myMemphis, Banner, and EAB Navigate.
  • Develops, coordinates and presents workshops, presentations, and campus tabling events on academic coaching and student success.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. Assists Assistant Director with the development, implementation, and assessment of academic coaching effectiveness, including tracking and reporting on utilization.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area and three (3) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.
