Job Summary:
The Finance Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in Finance at our main campus in Oxford, Mississippi. This position is open at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor of Finance.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or MBA-level courses in Finance, with a specific focus on Economic Statistics. Because our programs serve a diverse and growing student body, the teaching load may require a mix of both online and in-person instruction.
The teaching load is typically 3-4 courses in each of the fall and spring semesters. Primary responsibilities include delivering high-quality, rigorous instruction that promotes student success, mentoring students, and performing duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and the Chair of the Department of Finance. The successful applicant is expected to maintain Scholarly Active status, as defined by AACSB standards and School policy, at all times. The applicant is also expected to participate in the faculty governance of the School through service responsibilities assigned by the department chair and the dean. Options to teach summer courses for additional pay may be available subject to course and funding availability.
Well qualified applicants will credibly be able to teach Economic Statistics and related finance courses. Some relevant industry experience is preferred.
