Job Description
The Director, Brand Marketing will lead the development and execution of the annual marketing plan, drive brand growth through production innovation, and build consumer relevance through breakthrough campaigns. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Director, Brand Marketing translates consumer, customer and marketplace insights into winning marketing and product strategies, with responsibility for driving business and brand performance across revenue, market share, and profitability. This role blends strategic brand leadership with creative execution and operational oversight, making it ideal for a marketing leader who can align brand vision with business performance
TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
MARKETING STRATEGY
- Develop and lead the annual marketing plan, setting strategic business goals and ensuring alignment across the organization. Influence and align senior leadership behind the brand strategy and annual marketing calendar, presenting recommendations and building the business case for major programs.
- Support product strategy and innovation priorities, identifying opportunities and barriers
- Drive brand awareness, strengthen differentiation, and convert brand equity into sales growth
BRAND & CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT
- Direct creative briefs and campaign strategies for brand‑differentiating work
- Lead scalable marketing programs and tools usable nationally with retailers
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to produce compelling brand touchpoints (website, packaging, advertising collateral) and initiatives
OPERATIONAL & STRATEGIC DUTIES
- Manage marketing budgets, forecast costs, and report on KPIs
- Oversee brand messaging, and partner Creative on visual identity and packaging design
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and product positioning
- Mentor and develop team members, building the capability and structure needed to deliver against Beyond’s growth goals
- Partner cross-functionally with Culinary, R&D, Creative, Comms and Operations to foster collaboration and bring insight-based communications, packaging, and product innovation to life, measuring success against established KPIs

SUPERVISORY DUTIES
- Lead an internal team including brand and shopper managers
- Responsible for annual team budgeting
- Accountable for developing talent through on-going performance feedback and career management coaching
- Conduct quarterly and yearly performance reviews of direct reports
- Mentor and develop team members, create succession plan, and identify/recruit key talent
- Set annual and quarterly department level KPIs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA Preferred.
- 8+ years of brand management, brand-building, and integrated marketing experience, ideally within food and beverage or consumer brands.
- 4+ years leading and developing marketing teams, including managing managers
- Strategic brand leader who can set a compelling vision and translate it into clear plans and priorities for the team
- Demonstrated track record owning brand strategy and delivering breakthrough, full-funnel go-to-market campaigns and product launches
- Proven people leader and coach who builds, develops, and inspires high-performing teams
- Strong financial and business acumen, with a spirit of ownership and comfort managing budgets and driving ROI
- Exceptional communicator and cross-functional collaborator who influences at all levels of the organization
- Ability to flex from high level strategic thinking and influencing senior level leadership to driving detailed execution of projects that are on budget and on time.
- Analytical skills to leverage and synthesize data and insights for decision-making while balancing urgency, bold thinking and willingness to take risks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Onsite office environment in El Segundo headquarters five (5) days a week
**Annual salary commensurate with experience**
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $185,000 and $215,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
