Job Summary
Government hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Dermatologist with strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of medical and complex dermatological conditions. The role involves providing comprehensive dermatology consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, and managing both routine and complex cases within a multidisciplinary hospital environment. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality patient care, clinical excellence, and the continued development of advanced dermatology services.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of medical and complex dermatological conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive dermatology consultations, examinations, and treatment planning.
• Manage conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, infections, pigmentation disorders, and autoimmune skin diseases.
• Assess and manage complex and chronic dermatological cases.
• Perform dermatological procedures according to clinical expertise.
• Conduct skin biopsies and minor surgical procedures where appropriately trained.
• Evaluate suspicious skin lesions and coordinate appropriate investigation and management.
• Provide evidence-based medical and procedural dermatological treatments.
• Work closely with plastic surgery, oncology, rheumatology, pediatrics, pathology, and other specialties.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure high standards of patient safety and infection control.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support the development and enhancement of advanced dermatology services.

Requirements

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Dermatology.
• Recognized Australian Board or equivalent specialist qualification in Dermatology.
• Established Consultant-level clinical experience.
• Strong experience in general medical and procedural dermatology.
• Proven ability to manage complex dermatological conditions and challenging cases.
• Experience in a leading hospital, tertiary-care center, or advanced dermatology setting preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with dermatological procedures is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
