Relationship Manager, FI- Origination & Coverage

Job Purpose

• Target assigned portfolio of Indian Banks for Mashreq suite of product offering in Cash Management, Trade, Banknotes, Bullion, Investment Banking – Syndicated Loan & DCM and Treasury.
• Independently manage assigned client portfolio across products.
• Implement business plan for Indian Banks based on our strategy with identified growth initiatives across products

Key Result Areas

• To enhance revenue and originate business from assigned Indian Banks portfolio from existing and targeted clients.
• Independently manage coverage for assigned client portfolio across products.
• To work closely with Head of FI – India – Origination and Coverage and promote and expand Mashreq suite of existing and proposed new products with Indian Banks and their branches abroad.
• Actively engage with both clients and internal stakeholders towards ensuring successful origination, client experience, high cross-sell penetration to broaden Mashreq share of client wallet.
• Manage effective sales management through maintaining a robust pipeline and regular updating of call reports. To ensure that KYCs for assigned portfolio are completed.
• Increase revenue across Cash Management, Trade, Banknotes, Bullion, Investment Banking (Syndicated Loans & DCM) and Treasury & Global Markets business.
• Maintain RAROC at client and assigned portfolio level.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• 10 years’ relevant experience in managing and originating business (with last role related to Financial Institution business).
• Sound skills in trade, clearing, Loan and FX products relating to FIs.
• Good knowledge of Financial Institutions and holding relationships at a middle and senior level in target market.
• Strong sales, marketing, and negotiation skills with attitude of a team player.
• Postgraduate in Management or a Professional Degree in Finance is preferred.
