Senior Expediting Specialist

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Expediting Specialist to join us in our ID CD - Commercial Delivery team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth on a full time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing & Expediting, you will play a key role in expediting delivery and flow of equipment & materials to site ensuring all procedures are undertaken according to APA policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively expedite suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials, documentation and project deliverables are completed in line with agreed project schedules.
• Lead supplier kick off and progress meetings, identifying delivery risks early and coordinating mitigation actions with project teams and suppliers.
• Manage the timely submission, review and approval of vendor and project documentation, working closely with Engineering, Quality and Document Control.
• Support quality assurance inspections and release activities for domestic and international supply packages in accordance with project quality and criticality requirements.
• Coordinate logistics, freight and custody transfer arrangements with suppliers, service providers and site teams to achieve safe, cost-effective and on-time delivery.
• Build effective supplier and stakeholder relationships while maintaining accurate expediting information and supporting supplier performance, project cost, schedule and quality outcomes

Your background

• Experience in expediting, procurement, supply chain, project delivery, logistics or a related commercial environment, ideally supporting major projects or infrastructure.
• Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to follow up, challenge and influence to achieve delivery commitments.
• Demonstrated ability to identify schedule and supply risks, resolve issues and escalate potential impacts before they affect project delivery.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple suppliers, packages, priorities and deadlines concurrently.
• Sound understanding of vendor documentation, quality assurance and logistics processes, including coordination across multiple project disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, reporting and governance requirements.

About the Team

The ID Commercial Delivery team exists to enable the successful delivery of APA’s Infrastructure Development portfolio by providing high quality commercial, procurement and contracting support throughout the project lifecycle. We work closely with project teams and key stakeholders to deliver fit for purpose commercial solutions, manage commercial risk and achieve strong value for money outcomes.

To support APA in Securing Australia’s Energy Future, our focus is on commercial excellence, strong stakeholder partnerships and effective delivery. We help establish the contracts, supplier relationships and commercial frameworks needed to turn project plans into successful outcomes, while balancing schedule, cost, risk and quality.
