NDT Technician II

Perform Level II NDT inspections across qualified testing methods, including equipment setup, calibration, testing, interpretation and reporting. Work under Level III supervision where required, prepare written instructions, complete NDT worksheets and reports, and ensure all activities comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements and Oceaneering HSE procedures.

• Ensure Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and expectations are fully implemented and comply with local regulations.
• Perform tasks under the supervision of Level III personnel.
• Select the appropriate NDT technique from approved processes.
• Define the application limitations of the testing method.
• Translate NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into practical work instructions.
• Set up, calibrate and verify NDT equipment.
• Interpret and evaluate results against applicable standards, codes, specifications and procedures.
• Prepare written NDT instructions and reports.
• Carry out and supervise tasks at or below NDT Technician Level II.
• Complete NDT worksheets and reports accurately.
• Perform other reasonable duties and specific projects as directed by management.
• Relevant State Radiation Licence (desirable)
• Welding Inspection (desirable)
• ISO 9712 Level II Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) or equivalent and ISO 9712 Level II Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) or equivalent, plus:
• Radiographic Testing (RT) and/or
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Eddy Current Welds (ETW) (desirable)
• Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
