Kitchen Steward

Job Brief

We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Steward to keep our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. You will wash dishes and kitchen tools, keep work areas clean, and support the kitchen team so food is prepared safely and on time. This role is important for hygiene, safety, and the smooth flow of daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchen, storage, and dishwashing areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Sort, stack, and store clean items in their correct place after each shift.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and keep bins clean and covered.
• Assist chefs and cooks with basic prep tasks and moving supplies when needed.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards set by the company and local health authorities.
• Report any damaged equipment, low supplies, or safety issues to the supervisor.
• No formal education required; basic reading and understanding of safety labels is a plus.
• Previous kitchen steward, dishwashing, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be physically fit, able to stand for long periods, lift moderate weight, and work well in a team.
