Role & Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, engaging and high-quality experiences for Opera’s browser and consumer products.
• -
• Take ownership of design challenges from problem definition and exploration through interaction design, prototyping and final execution.
• -
• Translate complex product and technical capabilities into simple and meaningful user experiences.
• -
• Explore new interaction models for emerging technologies and AI-powered product capabilities.
• -
• Use user insights, product data, experimentation and feedback to inform design decisions.
• -
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and other designers throughout the product-development process.
• -
• Contribute to consistent design patterns and high standards of product experience across Opera products.

Job Requirements

• -
• Strong professional experience in Product Design, UX/Product Design or a closely related discipline.
• -
• Portfolio demonstrating shipped, complex digital products and strong end-to-end product design capabilities.
• -
• Experience designing consumer-facing applications or sophisticated digital products with complex user interactions.
• -
• Strong interaction, UX and visual design skills.
• -
• Advanced experience with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• -
• Strong product thinking and ability to balance user needs, business objectives and technical constraints.
• -
• Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams in an iterative development environment.

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience designing browsers, desktop applications, productivity tools, search products or other complex consumer software.

Experience designing AI-powered features, conversational interfaces or emerging interaction models.

Understanding of browser behaviors, web technologies and cross-platform experiences.

Experience working on products with large international user bases.

Experience using research, experimentation and product data to validate design decisions.
