Issue Management Analyst (1LOD Risk Management)

Join FTSE Russell as an Issue Management Analyst, where you'll support the first-line Issue Management framework across the global business. This role involves core execution support throughout the issue lifecycle, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and timely follow-up of issues. You'll maintain high-quality issue data, support governance routines, and enable clear management information on issue health, remediation progress, aging, and emerging risk themes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in operational risk, issue management, control environments, and governance within a regulated financial services and market infrastructure business.

• Support the day-to-day operation of the Issue Management framework, including issue creation, tracking, remediation monitoring and closure preparation.
• Perform regular data quality checks across issue management records, identifying missing fields, inconsistent ratings, unclear ownership or outdated action plans.
• Support preparation for Issue Management governance meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting packs, action logs and follow-up tracking.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarise information accurately and professionally
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, organise and interpret large volumes of information
• Good Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to maintain trackers, analyse data and support reporting outputs
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and delivery discipline
• Comfortable working with structured processes, governance routines and control requirements
• Ability to work with stakeholders across different teams and levels of seniority to gather updates and resolve queries
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to identify gaps, ask questions and escalate issues appropriately
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality, accuracy and completeness
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow up on actions
• Experience in issue management, operational risk, governance, controls, audit support or management information production
• Familiarity with MetricStream, Jira or similar workflow, risk, issue or governance tools
• Understanding of risk and control concepts, including remediation planning, control weaknesses and closure evidence
• Experience supporting governance forums, including meeting packs, action logs and reporting
• Awareness of regulated environments and the importance of clear evidence, audit trails and defensible documentation
• Experience within financial services, market infrastructure, index, benchmark, data or analytics businesses
