Vice President - Licensed Environmental Professional - (LEP)

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Vice President/Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional to support our environmental operations, in our Shelton and Glastonbury, CT offices. Be involved in projects with our Earth and Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Role Purpose

Own growth, pipeline, profitability, technical standards and organizational capability while leading the most complex projects and senior client relationships.

Your Impact

Essential Accountabilities

• Lead complex environmental projects and multidisciplinary delivery, with accountability for budgets, profitability, performance, subcontractors and employees.
• Develop and expand a high-level client base; lead strategic proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, scope, pricing and cross-selling.
• Serve as a senior external representative with clients, agencies, subcontractors, industry groups and community or government entities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, technical quality, certifications and discipline standards; identify operational skill gaps and risks.
• Provide leadership and performance guidance to assigned staff and embed technical expertise and innovation into project work

• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering or a related life sciences field.
• 12+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Strong command of environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices and their business impact.
• Executive-level leadership, influence, analytical judgment and communication across senior management, clients and company-wide stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to business needs, varied schedules and occasional travel.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $160,000 - $200,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
