ACC Medical Assistant

DescriptionJob Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, the Medical Assistant is responsible for operating as a team member and provide support services to the medical team that assist in meeting the medical and psychiatric needs of our clients. The following duties will apply:

Duties

Obtaining vital signs from patients
Assisting with patient searches.
Observing and processing urine drug screens.
Observe clients after medication administration.
If certification requirements are met, entering requisitions and completing bloodwork.
Assist with cleaning and preparing client rooms.
Follow infection control principles and cleaning guidelines.
Assists with the following responsibilities: screening, intake, orientation, referral, counseling, crisis intervention and response, patient education, case management, reporting and record-keeping, and consultation with other professionals.
Responsible for carrying out treatment planning in milieu.
Assists in providing therapeutic interventions to foster clients’ social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development.
Provide transportation for clients to and from treatment-related appointments or community activities.
