Carpenter

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials accurately.
• Construct and install doors, frames, walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinets, and other structures.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry work as required.
• Install and repair wooden fixtures, fittings, and structures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work is properly aligned, level, secure, and finished to the required standard.
• Carry out renovations, repairs, maintenance, and alterations.
• Work with other trades to coordinate construction and installation activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
• Follow site safety procedures and applicable building regulations.
• Inspect completed work and correct defects or issues as required.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a carpenter or in a similar construction role.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and measurements.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
