Head of Product (Sports Betting) in Sofia

Workster is partnering with a leading international technology provider within the iGaming and Sportsbook industry to recruit a Head of Product (Sports Betting) in Sofia.

In this role, you will lead the product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of the company’s Sports Betting offering. You will work closely with commercial, technology, trading, data, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver a competitive, scalable, and customer-focused sportsbook product for international markets.

Your Role

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Sports Betting portfolio
• -
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from market research and discovery through launch, optimisation, and continuous improvement
• -
• Develop sportsbook products and features that support customer engagement, retention, revenue growth, and operational efficiency
• -
• Translate business objectives, customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements into clear product priorities
• -
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and commercial opportunities
• -
• Work closely with sportsbook trading, risk, technology, data, UX/UI, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver product initiatives
• -
• Lead product discovery through customer research, competitor analysis, market assessment, and data-driven insights
• -
• Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics
• -
• Monitor sportsbook performance, customer behaviour, conversion, retention, and revenue KPIs
• -
• Identify opportunities to improve the betting journey, including pre-match, live betting, betslip, promotions, payments, and account management experiences
• -
• Ensure the Sports Betting product is scalable, secure, reliable, and suitable for multiple regulated markets
• -
• Coordinate product launches, feature releases, testing, rollouts, and post-launch optimisation
• -
• Present product strategy, progress, performance, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
• -
• Lead, mentor, and develop product managers and other product team members
• -
• Establish effective product processes, governance, documentation, and cross-functional ways of working
• -
• Stay informed about sportsbook technology, betting trends, customer expectations, competitors, and emerging opportunities

Your Qualifications

• -
• Significant product management experience within Sports Betting, iGaming, sportsbook platforms, or a closely related industry
• -
• Proven experience leading the strategy and delivery of complex digital betting products
• -
• Strong understanding of sportsbook operations, betting journeys, odds, markets, betslips, live betting, promotions, and player account experiences
• -
• Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, prioritisation, discovery, and product delivery
• -
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing product teams
• -
• Strong commercial understanding and ability to connect product decisions with revenue, growth, and customer value
• -
• Experience working with international or regulated betting markets
• -
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach to product management
• -
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• -
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders
• -
• Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies
• -
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven, and international environment
• -
• Excellent English communication skills
• -
• Based in or willing to work from Sofia
• -
