Parcel Sorter

• We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Parcel Sorter to join our Christchurch branch!
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 10.30am – 7.00pm
• About the role - Mō te tūranga
• You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service.

Additional key duties below

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
• Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner
• Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product
• Maintain good working relationships
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

• What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?
• To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight.

Additionally, you will need

• Prior work experience in the freight industry
• A strong health and safety focus
• F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential)
• Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential)
• An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)
