Summary/Objective
The Group Manager for the Custom Fab department is responsible for coordinating and managing the work of employees and developing an operational plan to meet Sales demands. The Group Manager for Custom Fab develops operational schedules to meet customer service objectives and acts as communication liaison to ensure all groups have the information needed to provide superior customer service.
Essential Functions
Direct and coordinate the activities of the shop resources and personnel.
Work with assigned Eng resources to facilitate resource scheduling/tracking, design review, project management, and team huddles.
Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to meet customer expectations for quality and delivery.
Participate in Sales meetings, Business Development meetings, and Customer Interactions.
Selects, develops, and supervises staff.
Accomplishes employee results by coaching, counseling, training, and disciplining employees.
Assist in the determination and implementation of corrective actions where necessary.
Develop and improve work instructions to achieve continual improvement.
Maintain a presence in the work area to be available to employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection.

Supervisory Responsibilities
