FTE: Full Time (40 hours/week) Limited duration position - ends 6/30/2027 unless funding for program is reinstated.

JOB SUMMARY:
The SUN Site Supervisor works under the supervision of the SUN Program Manager and the school Principal to co-manage SUN activities at the school. The Site Supervisor is responsible for program development, community outreach, service coordination, resource development, volunteer coordination, budget monitoring, reporting, and program planning.
Two key qualities we are looking for in this role are creative interaction skills and strong community-building skills. The successful candidate will be able to build meaningful relationships, bring people together, and develop creative approaches to engaging students, families, schools, and community partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Development & Community Engagement
Provides leadership in the development and support of work groups and action planning designed to further the mission and goals of SUN. This includes:
Completing community asset and needs assessments.
Designing and implementing forums for collaboration with other school-based organizations and services.
Promoting service delivery and planning that is multi-jurisdictional.
Integrating support services with academic instruction, enrichment, and recreational activities.
Building relationships within the school and surrounding community.
Conducts ongoing outreach and recruitment of a broad and diverse base of community members, organizations, and businesses to participate in SUN planning and the implementation of programs and activities.
Coordinates with community, school, and public service providers to place a variety of support services at the school for families.
Oversees before- and after-school activities, including the supervision of staff, contractors, volunteers, and students.
Resource Development
Promotes resource development to support and enhance SUN programs and activities. This includes:
Communicating with the Development Department regarding resource solicitation.
Soliciting and assessing cash and in-kind resources to leverage and enhance funding for SUN activities.
Data Collection & Program Evaluation
Collects and analyzes program data. This includes:
Coordinating the distribution and collection of surveys.
Ensuring program participation data is complete, accurate, and entered appropriately.
Ensuring academic data, trends, and risk factors are complete and entered appropriately.
Performs and/or participates in program evaluation, using data from multiple sources to improve program performance.
Staff, Contractor & Volunteer Support
Supervises and supports program staff, contractors, partners, and volunteers. This includes:
Providing program orientation to new staff, contractors, partners, and volunteers.
Conducting annual performance reviews for program staff.
Providing training and regular supervision for program staff and volunteers.
Conducting performance observations for program staff and volunteers.
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including:
New hire paperwork.
Contractor paperwork.
Personnel Action Forms (PAFs).
Budget & Contract Management
Monitors the program budget through monthly financial statements and maintains spending within annual budget limits.
Participates in the development of the annual budget and twice-yearly budget rebalancing.
Brings budgetary concerns and discrepancies to the Program Manager.
Is responsible for the performance of program contracts, including spending within budget, meeting required outputs and outcomes, staffing, and recruitment.
Forwards all contracts to the Program Manager for Executive Director signature.
Curriculum & Program Safety
Is responsible for program curriculum, either by identifying an existing curriculum or developing new curriculum. Curriculum should align with evidence-based or promising practices.
Is responsible for the safety of program participants through ongoing risk management and alignment of program safety procedures with school safety procedures.
Agency Leadership & Administration
Participates in agency leadership by:
Attending agency Supervisors Meetings or other meetings as designated.
Understanding and enforcing agency policies and processes.
Making recommendations for improvements to program policies and processes.
Engaging with the community to advocate for SUN programs and services.
Participating in agency committees.
Performs administrative tasks, including organizing and facilitating meetings, drafting an annual work plan and budget, compiling and disseminating SUN information, and writing and submitting required reports.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Strongly encouraged, but not required: Proficiency in Somali, Spanish, or Arabic.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in community organizing, education, planning, social work or related field.
Knowledge of community school model.
2-3 years of experience in program development, education, human service planning and/or community development.
