Position Summary:

The Oil Delivery and Warehouse Associate splits time between delivering bulk oil and lubricant products to agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers and supporting warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and shipping petroleum products. This role requires safe handling of oils and lubricants, accurate inventory management, and reliable service from the warehouse to the customer's tank.

Maintain comprehensive safety protocols across oil delivery and warehouse operations
Conduct thorough inspections and audits of delivery vehicles and warehouse handling equipment
Eliminate spills, shrink, waste, and contamination of oil and lubricant products
Increase customer retention through reliable, accurate deliveries
Reduce customer wait times for deliveries and reduce expenses in warehouse operations

Success Criteria:

Physical oil and lubricant inventory matches system inventory
Customers receive the right product, at the right time, in the right amount, to the right customer, with no return trips needed
Customers understand the full range of energy products and services available (propane, lubricants, fuel equipment) through associate interactions

Primary Responsibilities:

Delivery Operations Expectations (approximately half of role)

Deliver bulk oil and lubricant orders to agricultural operations, commercial fleets, construction sites, and industrial facilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles and tanker trucks equipped with petroleum pumping and metering systems
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery equipment, checking for leaks, equipment damage, contamination, and proper functioning of transfer systems
Safely connect delivery hoses to customer tanks, monitor product transfer, verify grades, prevent contamination, and ensure accurate metering
Interact professionally with customers, answer questions about oil and lubricant products, communicate handling safety, and identify opportunities for additional energy products or services
Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for petroleum transport and delivery procedures

Warehouse Operations Expectations (approximately half of role, under general supervision)

Assist in warehouse functions, including receiving bulk oil shipments, stocking lubricant products, shipping orders, and monitoring inventory
Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hazardous material transport requirements
Conduct regular audits on forklifts, oil transfer equipment, and lubricant repackaging machinery
Maintain safety standards for petroleum storage and handling of hazardous materials in the warehouse

Shared Expectations

Use fuel/oil management software and tracking systems to record deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and support accurate reporting across both delivery and warehouse operations
Implement procedures to minimize spills, contamination, and product waste in both delivery and warehouse settings
Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of delivery vehicles, warehouse equipment, and petroleum transfer systems

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL), typically Class B or higher, with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required for petroleum transport (Air Brake endorsement as applicable)
Pass pre-employment screening, including DOT physical, drug test, and background check specific to hazardous materials drivers
1-3 years of experience in petroleum delivery, warehousing, or lubricant logistics preferred
Understanding of oil and fuel types, petroleum specifications, and contamination prevention
Knowledge of DOT regulations for petroleum transport and EPA requirements for petroleum handling
Proficiency in, or ability to learn, fuel/oil management software and inventory systems
Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and warehouse operations
Physical ability to work in petroleum storage environments, handle oil containers, and safely operate delivery vehicles

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
Ability to work in all weather conditions and confined spaces
Ability to work comfortably at heights of 100 feet or more
