Senior Data Scientist

Join Trainline, Europe's leading independent rail platform, as a Senior Data Scientist. In this role, you will investigate incidents affecting the customer journey, identify recurring patterns, and work across multiple business areas. You will also mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience as a data scientist, strong knowledge of SQL and Python, and a track record of owning a business or functional area.

• Investigate incidents such as checkout errors, searches returning no results, and conversion declines, working through the detail to understand root causes.
• Identify recurring patterns across incidents and use these insights to build reusable solutions that reduce investigation time for the wider team.
• Work across search, supply and commerce, linking data sources and datasets to support projects that span more than one pillar.
