Welder / Fabricator (Arc, MIG, or GMAW) (Third Party Payroll)

• Welding Operations: Perform GMAW (MIG)Welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) depending on production requirements. Join metals in various positions (Flat Horizontal or vertical position) by using appropriate Welding Parameter Setting (correct voltage, amperage, wire feed speed, and shielding gas flow). Perform welding as per Welding procedure specification. (WPS).
• Drawing Reading: Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate dimensions and alignment.
• Material Preparation: Fit, tacking grinding, beveling, shape, and cleaning metals parts before and after the welding process. Ensure proper alignment using appropriate jigs and fixtures.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed welds for defects, structural integrity, and adherence to company quality and safety standards. Ensure adequate root penetration and prevent welding defects such as undercut, porosity, spatter, and incomplete fusion. Filling Check sheet & Inspection report.
• Equipment Maintenance: Set up, operate, and perform basic daily maintenance on welding machines, torches, and fixtures. Immediately check for gas leakage, wire jamming, and cable damage and report any abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Safety compliance: Follow strict Normet health and safety guidelines, including wearing proper Personal protective equipment and maintain clean hazards free workspace. Remove all flammable materials from the work area and maintain awareness of the location and proper use of fire extinguishers
• 5S Standards: Daily cleaning of the MIG torch, contact tip, gas nozzle, diffuser, and wire feeder rollers. Clean the work area after welding, remove welding spatter, and keep cables and hoses properly arranged. Keep CO₂ / Argon gas cylinders upright on a trolley and secure them properly with chains
