About The Role

This is a Business Development role within the Manulife Investment Management Partnership Team. The role requires a high level of sales excellence, client service commitment, and relationship management capabilities. The primary responsibility is to build strong partnerships and drive business goals with financial intermediaries and distribution partners.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial intermediaries and distribution partners to drive sustainable business growth.
  • Continuously develop and enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to perform the role effectively, including product knowledge, investment and market insights, relationship management, communication, and time management skills.
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop and execute strategic business plans that support shared objectives, including new product onboarding, net sales growth, and effective marketing initiatives.
  • Take ownership of distributors' sales performance and ensure successful delivery of agreed business and marketing plans.
  • Conduct training sessions, product presentations, and market updates for distributors' sales teams to enhance their product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute sales and marketing activities to achieve targeted business outcomes and drive fund sales.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Support, Marketing, Product, Operations, Client Services, Compliance, and Investment teams, to support partners and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor business performance, identify growth opportunities, and proactively implement strategies to improve sales productivity and distributor engagement.
  • Demonstrate initiative and accountability by taking ownership of assigned business metrics, sales targets, and overall performance.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality while upholding Manulife's corporate values and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent business qualification.
  • Experience of at least 2 years and preferably 3-5 years gained in a Financial Services organization
  • Specifically, priority will be provided to candidates with relevant sales experience
  • Can demonstrate strong self-confidence and motivational ability. Also able to demonstrate periods of employment working under own initiative to achieve results.
