Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

Goal of position

To provide efficient and comprehensive shipping administration for equipment shipped from the UK & CZ and to act as an advisor to the different departments around the organisation regarding deliveries/imports.

Tasks

• Managing and co-ordinating export and import shipping activities.
• Ensure deliveries are made in line with customer and company requirements.
• Invoice generation and administration in UK ERP system.
• Act as contact for customer and internal queries relating to shipping or status enquiries.
• Completing required shipping certificates/documentation and detailed shipment records.
• Controlling all imports into the UK by providing customs clearance instructions to the necessary clearance agent within a small-time frame to minimise storage costs/delivery delays.
• Arranging the despatch, paperwork and collection of Demo, loans and exhibitions.
• In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks that are essentially related to their role.

Position Requirements

Essential

• Proven international experience in logistics. Working knowledge of import/export customs procedures.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable challenging issues and driving resolutions without supervision.
• IT Literate - Good ability in using Microsoft Office.
