Lead Product Manager (United Kingdom)
Writer · London, United Kingdom
About The Role
Join WRITER, a leading company in the generative AI space, as a Lead Product Manager. In this role, you will shape the product strategy and roadmap, drive high-impact initiatives, and align cross-functional stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with enterprise buyers, end users, and prospects to uncover unmet needs and champion the customer voice. Additionally, you will mentor and coach other product managers, raising the bar on product craft across the organization.
- We're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer empathy, technical depth, and business judgment — and who is energized by turning complex, evolving AI capabilities into products customers love
- Senior- or staff-level experience operating autonomously across ambiguous, multi-team problem spaces and influencing outcomes well beyond your immediate team
- Technical credibility to engage meaningfully with engineers and researchers on system design, LLM capabilities, data, and architecture, knowing when to go deep and when to defer to the experts
- A blend of strong strategic thinking and relentless execution — you can set a compelling vision one moment and sweat the details of a release plan the next
- Exceptional communication that you tailor for any audience, from a frontline engineer to the executive team, driving alignment without relying on org chart authority
- Genuine customer obsession — you instinctively go to the customer, synthesize signal from noise, and design from a deep understanding of real workflows and pain points
- 8+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning and shipping complex, high-impact products, ideally in SaaS, platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML-driven environments
- A mentor's instinct and a builder's drive, with the data-informed, outcome-driven mindset to define success up front and move with the speed this environment demands
- Familiarity with AI governance, guardrails, and the operational considerations of deploying AI in regulated or high-stakes environments
- Background in enterprise software, developer platforms, or developer-facing products
- Experience building products powered by LLMs, generative AI, or large-scale AI/ML systems
