About The Role
Salama Engineering is looking for an experienced Store Supervisor to manage day-to-day store and material control activities within our Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger fabrication facility. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, controlling, and issuing raw materials, fabrication materials, consumables, tools, spare parts, and other project-related materials.
Supervise daily store operations and ensure smooth material flow to the fabrication workshop.
Receive and verify materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, and Material Specifications.
Maintain proper identification, tagging, storage, and preservation of materials.
Manage inventory of steel plates, pipes, fittings, flanges, welding consumables, bolts, gaskets, tools, and mechanical spare parts.
Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Projects, QC and Engineering teams for material requirements.
Ensure materials are issued to production based on approved material requests.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update ERP/system transactions.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment of critical materials and consumables.
Maintain proper documentation for GRN, material issuance, material returns, transfers, and stock adjustments.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Ensure proper segregation and identification of approved, rejected, quarantined, and surplus materials.
Maintain traceability of materials and ensure proper MTC/Material Certificate documentation where applicable.
Supervise Storekeepers, Helpers and other store personnel.
Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and material handling practices within the store and yard.
Prepare regular inventory and material movement reports.
Support internal, client, and third-party inspections and audits related to material control.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Stores/Warehouse/Material Control.
- Oil & Gas / Engineering / Fabrication industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Piping, or Heavy Fabrication is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical materials and fabrication consumables.
- Experience handling steel plates, pipes, fittings, flanges, welding consumables and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of material traceability and MTC documentation.
- Experience with ERP/Inventory Management systems.
- Good MS Excel skills.
- Strong supervisory, organizational and communication skills.
