About The Role

The Director of 245D provides direct leadership over Accord's 245D-licensed programs - Employment, Day Support, and Family Support - ensuring services reflect the needs of the communities served, adhere to best practice and evidence-based models, and remain fiscally viable.

This position leads and develops the Managers of Employment, Day Support, and Family Support, and is directly accountable for 245D licensing compliance, program-level fiscal oversight, and the leadership pipeline within assigned programs.

Position reports directly to the EVP, Integrator.

Essential Responsibilities

● Listen-Learn-Lead: Model the mission and values of Accord, helping people to live their greatest lives.

● Apply the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and its tools to align program initiatives with organizational business objectives.

● Manage a high-performing leadership team poised for growth; supervise the Managers of Employment, Day Support, and Family Support.

● Meet regularly with supervisees to ensure timely feedback, answer questions, and identify trends or issues such as training and other resource needs.

● Plan, develop, implement, and grow existing and new 245D programs that reflect the needs of the communities and adhere to best practice and evidence-based models.

● Measure, manage, report, and drive employee productivity using EHR, Data Warehouse, and other data tools; ensure accountability, promote performance, and meet business objectives.

● Assure the fiscal viability of assigned programs, including seeking new funding sources, maintaining positive relationships with funders, and utilizing effective marketing strategies.

● Prepare an annual budget for assigned programs, provide continual fiscal oversight, forecast and authorize the expenditure of funds.

● Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data and measurements to inform decision-making.

● Work with program managers to develop and implement processes that align and comply with all 245D licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and Accord's mission, vision, and values.

● Promote and model best practices in service delivery, including person-centered planning and personal empowerment approaches.

● Collaborate across teams and programs to monitor and evaluate assigned programs, policies, and procedures; implement changes as needed and make recommendations for policy changes to the EVP.

● Ensure compliance with 245D licensing and other federal and state laws, regulations, and administrative rules that apply to assigned program areas; serve as the primary point of accountability for 245D compliance below the EVP.

● Work closely with the Quality & Training department to identify and meet training needs across assigned programs.

● Communicate, implement, and interpret agency-wide policies and procedures.

● Direct the selection, training, supervision, performance management, and evaluation of staff in assigned programs, partnering with Human Capital as needed.

● Model effective leadership skills and mentor the growth and development of leaders in assigned programs, building a leadership pipeline and succession plan for key roles.

● Serve as a representative of the agency to the people we support, our community partners, and external constituents; serve as a positive role model for other employees.

● Work effectively as a team member and collaborate with people at all levels and across the organization.

● Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills/abilities.

● Availability to travel locally for work with limited overnight travel possible.

● Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

Education

  • ● Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant human services field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • ● If you hold a Social Work degree, you are required to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.

Skills & Experience

● Position requires a minimum of 8 years of work experience in the field of human services working with people living with disabilities, including experience across multiple 245D program types (Employment, Day Support, Family Support, or similar).

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, including experience leading other leaders/managers (not only direct staff).

● Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and funder relationship management.

● Proficient in GSuite, Excel, EHR systems, and third-party analytics.

Benefits

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 depending on qualifications. Benefit eligible with healthcare, dental, vision, optional coverages, and 403b with employer match. Employer-paid basic life, Short-Term disability, and Long-Term disability.
