Purpose
The AmeriCorps Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative, logistical, and compliance operations of the Dana Center's AmeriCorps programs (both Literacy First and Numeracy First). This role ensures the programs run smoothly from member onboarding through service completion, manages grant compliance and reporting to the OneStar Foundation, and coordinates the AmeriCorps grants continuation and recompete process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about national service and community impact.
Responsibilities
Member Experience & Development
- -
- Coordinate all aspects of Volunteer experiences, overseeing implementation of member and supervisor onboarding and service year engagement
Records, Retention & Site Monitoring
- -
- Coordinate AmeriCorps member records and retention, file audits, and monitoring site visits
- -
- Ensure AmeriCorps members are trained annually on grant requirements
- -
- Oversee professional development opportunities and service events for AmeriCorps members throughout their term of service
Grant Compliance
- -
- Manage AmeriCorps grant compliance regarding member enrollment, exits, and ongoing program management during the service year
- -
- Maintain and update the AmeriCorps Compliance Manual, and train AmeriCorps staff on relevant components annually

- Attend OneStar monthly meetings
Funder & External Relations
- -
- Manage the relationship between Dana Center and OneStar Foundation, which oversees AmeriCorps in Texas
- -
- Manage all information regarding program implementation
- -
- Coordinate the AmeriCorps grant continuation and recompete process, with input from Dana Center Leadership and relevant staff
- -
- Attend local, state, and national/regional AmeriCorps conferences
Internal Collaboration

Collaborate closely with the Literacy First and Numeracy First project teams, Project Management Team, Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator, and Human Resources Coordinator to coordinate grant activities

Work effectively across teams to monitor the operational plan and progress toward strategic plan goals

Participate in processes and activities designed to establish an organizational culture that supports learning, collaboration, and collective responsibility to enhance professional relationships, job satisfaction, and organizational efficiency and effectiveness

Attending biweekly team meetings and monthly departmental meetings.

- Prepare monthly Program Enrollment Reports (PERs) along with the Simple Fixed Calculator spreadsheet for reporting to OneStar Foundation, using member timesheets

- Work with Assistant Director, Finance monthly for reporting in OneStar Foundation online platform
Required Qualifications
- -
- Bachelor's degreeeducation, business, social work, public administration or related field
- -
- 5years of experience in program coordination, nonprofit administration, or a related field
- -
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multipledeadlines
- -
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- -
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation
- -
- Problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- -
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort learning new databases and systems
- -
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive personnel and program data
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

- Prior AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, or other national service experience (as a member, alumnus, or staff)

Salary Range

- $68,000 - $75,672
