Application Security Engineer

Join the Financial Times, a leading global news organization, as an Application Security Engineer. In this hands-on role, you will improve application security across the FT's cloud-native technology estate, working closely with engineers to support threat modeling, triage application vulnerabilities, and improve security playbooks. You will need practical application security experience, a developer-friendly security mindset, and familiarity with vulnerability management and CI/CD workflows.

• Help improve application security across the FT’s cloud-native technology estate by working with product, platform, and software engineering teams.
• Enhance developer-friendly security guardrails across GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, application repositories, and engineering workflows.
• Support practical threat modeling, triage application vulnerabilities, improve security playbooks, and help teams remediate issues in a pragmatic way.
