Job Description & Summary: PwC India is looking for a highly skilled SAP MDG Consultant with hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and customizing SAP Master Data Governance solutions. This is a purely technical role focused on deploying, integrating, and enhancing SAP MDG capabilities to support enterprise master data management across multiple domains. Job Position Title: IN_Manager_SAP MDG_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions across various master data domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, and Financial data. Oversee configuration and customization of SAP MDG data models, workflows, UI adaptations, and validation/enrichment processes to meet complex business and compliance requirements. Manage integration and data replication between SAP MDG and SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other enterprise systems ensuring seamless data harmonization. Conduct requirement analysis, gap assessments, and guide development of functional and technical specifications. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data governance teams, and technical resources to ensure alignment of master data governance strategies and MDG implementations. Monitor and troubleshoot SAP MDG technical and functional issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize business impact. Lead data quality initiatives including duplicate checks, data validation, and enrichment using SAP MDG capabilities. Mentor and manage a team of SAP MDG consultants and analysts to deliver high-quality project outcomes on time. Drive documentation efforts including solution design documents, configuration manuals, test cases, and user manuals. Stay updated on SAP MDG product advancements, industry best practices, and integration possibilities with complementary SAP modules and third-party systems. Support change management, user training, and production support activities post-implementation. Mandatory skill sets: Extensive hands-on experience in implementing and configuring SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions at enterprise scale. Strong knowledge of SAP MDG architecture, data models, workflows, UI framework, and data replication methodologies. Proven expertise in integrating SAP MDG with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other critical enterprise applications. Proficient in customizing SAP MDG validations, authorizations, enrichment, and data governance processes. Deep understanding of master data management concepts, data quality frameworks, and governance best practices. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SAP MDG technical and functional challenges. Experience leading project teams, managing stakeholders, and delivering SAP MDG projects successfully. Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, ABAP integration concepts, and SAP Fiori/UI5 is advantageous. Preferred skill sets: Experience working with data governance and master data management frameworks beyond SAP MDG. Exposure to SAP Data Hub, SAP Information Steward, or other data quality and governance tools. Knowledge of ETL and data integration tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, SAP PI/PO, or SAP CPI.
