Receptionist/Dental Assistant

As our Casual Receptionist / Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping the practice running smoothly while helping create a welcoming and professional experience for our patients.

This position offers variety, with shifts available across both reception and clinical support. Whether you're greeting patients at the front desk or assisting chairside, you'll be a valued member of our close-knit team.

Responsibilities may include

• Welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries
• Scheduling appointments and handling patient communications
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
• Assisting clinicians chairside during dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments
• Supporting the team with day-to-day practice operations
• Providing outstanding customer service at every patient interaction

To be successful in this role, you will have

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing healthcare role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, friendly, and adaptable attitude
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
• The flexibility to pick up casual shifts as required
• Valid New Zealand work rights
• Ideally live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance of Coastlands to ensure reliable availability for casual shifts
