Job Title: Flooring Takeoff Estimator/ Administrative Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Flooring Estimator / Material Takeoff Specialist to accurately prepare material takeoffs and support the estimating process. Flooring estimating experience is preferred, and strong communication with clients and vendors is essential.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate material takeoffs from drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
Calculate required quantities and materials for flooring projects.
Review project documents to identify scope, measurements, specifications, and potential issues.
Prepare estimates and support pricing and quotation requirements.
Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal team members to clarify project requirements.
Obtain and confirm product, material, and pricing information from vendors.
Identify discrepancies or missing information before estimates are finalised.
Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
Meet required deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience with material takeoffs and estimating.
Flooring estimating experience is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent client and vendor communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
