Technical Specialist (CTP Supervision)

Join the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Technical Specialist in Regulatory Supervision. In this role, you will play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of financial services in the UK. You will be responsible for overseeing trading venues, developing policy for trading venues and investment firms, and delivering early interventions to address emerging risks. You will also lead the delivery of the FCA's supervisory strategy for the Consolidated Tape, collaborate with colleagues across various departments, and support the development of team members.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and make evidence-based judgements, including where information may be incomplete
• Prior experience of financial services and financial regulation
• Clear commitment to collaborative working, with the ability to positively challenge and influence others while providing support and guidance to colleagues
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and succinctly to a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders
• Thorough understanding of the UK regulatory framework, particularly relating to financial markets, transparency and market data
• Ability to quickly acquire, source, manipulate and analyse data to inform decision-making
• Prior experience of representing an organisation externally in a leadership role on technically demanding issues
